Biography
Didem Sen Karaman, MSc, BSc, is an Associate Professor at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi in Izmir, Turkey, where her research focuses on nanomaterials, nanomedicine, nanobiotechnology, infectious diseases, and infected wounds. She completed her education at Izmir Institute of Technology and subsequently held research positions at Åbo Akademi University in Finland, including doctoral studies in the Department of Physical Chemistry (2010–2014), a PhD researcher role in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Laboratory (2015–2016), and a postdoctoral researcher position (2016 onwards). Her most-cited work, "Evolving Technologies and Strategies for Combating Antibacterial Resistance in the Advent of the Postantibiotic Era" (2020), has received 166 citations, reflecting her significant contributions to addressing antimicrobial resistance through advanced nanotechnology approaches. With over 10 indexed publications, she continues to advance innovative solutions at the intersection of nanoscience and biomedical applications.
