Key Skills:

  • Fabrication of Metal parts – Stir casting, Blend-press-sinter powder metallurgy technique, inkjet and binder jet 3D printing processes, Post processing (Hot extrusion, liquid metal infiltration, high temperature sintering, stress relief and heat treatment) of as-cast and 3D additive manufactured metal parts (SLM, EBM, BJP).
  • Physical Characterization – Gas pycnometer, Archimedes principle, µCT scanning.
  • Thermal Characterization – Thermo gravimetric analysis, dilatometer.
  • Microstructural Characterization – Optical microscope, Scanning electron microscope (EBSD), X-ray diffraction studies, Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.
  • Mechanical Characterization – Vickers hardness, Tensile and Compression tests, 3-point bending, fatigue, dry sliding wear behavior.
  • Powder Characterization – Hall flow meter, Laser particle size analyzer, Apparent density, Tap density, Powder Rheometer.
  • Biomedical Characterization – Corrosion studies using physical (Weight loss measurements) and electrochemical (Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy, Potentiodynamic Polarization tests), invitro cytotoxicity (direct and indirect tests and MTT cell assay).

  • Lean manufacturing certification course (2011) – Certified by National Productivity Council, India.
  • Six Sigma Green belt (2011) – Certified by MSME Development institute, India.
  • ASNT Level 2 Certification (UT, RT, PT and MPT) – valid until August 2019.
  • Diploma in Mechanical CADD (2009) – Knowledge in Auto CAD, Pro -E, Solidworks & ANSYS, certified by CAD center, India, and CATIA V5 certified by CITD, India.
  • Diploma in Industrial safety (2011) – Certified by Annamalai University, India, passed with First class with Distinction.
  • ½ day customized class D firefighting training conducted by COSEM 2017, Singapore.
  • Hands-on training on ExOne metal system - 3D printer at SIMTech, Singapore, March 2017.
