Working experiences:
- Induced resistance against grapevine pathogens.
- Host-defense responses implicated in tolerance mechanisms.
- Development of safe alternatives in controlling plant diseases.
- Epigenetic regulation of gene expression (DNA methylation analysis using Bisulfite sequencing method)and its involvement in development biology of grapevine.
- Somatic embryogenesis in grapevine from different explants.
- Genetic transformation of embryogenic callus via Agrobacterium tumefaciens in grapevine.
- Defense gene expression analysis by Real Time-q PCR.
- Systemic acquired resistance (SAR) against Plasmopara viticola (elicitation and priming mechanisms) in grapevine.
- The role of secondary metabolism in grapevine resistance to pathogens (stilbenes, flavonoids, lignin).
- The use of biological materials for waste water treatment processes and their valorization as fertilizer for plant growth improvement and disease control.
- Manipulation of h-type redoxines to improve the quality of seeds under salt stress.
