Biography
Born and raised in Taiwan, Ang-Chen Tsai developed a passion for solving any kind of problems with the integration of chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biology. For the reason, he chose the major in Chemical Engineering and completed his bachelor's degree at National Taiwan University. After serving his military obligation and being a process engineer in a factory, he decided to explore and extend his horizon. Then, he went to the U.S. and joined Dr. Teng Ma's lab at Florida State University in 2011. Focusing on the application and operation of various types of bioreactors and the mechanisms of multi-cellular aggregate formation in stem cells, Ang-Chen was awarded a Biomedical Engineering Ph.D. in 2016. In the next year, he joined PBS Biotech and continued his research on the process development of 3-D culture systems for cell therapy.
