- Li-Pin Kao (Betty) received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.
- Her thesis focused on the mitochondrial role in human embryonic stem cells.
- She has extensive publications had covered a wide range of gene expression profile, stem cells, cancer biology, cell biology, neuroscience, toxicology, and pharmacology.
