Biography

Dr. Rabiul Ahasan is a seasoned expert in ergonomics and human factors, currently serving as a Senior Ergonomist and Human Factors Specialist at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) in Ontario, Canada. His work involves the practical application of ergonomic principles to prevent workplace injuries and enhance occupational health and safety. Dr. Ahasan has a rich background that bridges academia and industry, having previously held positions as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oulu, Finland, and a Senior Lecturer in Malaysia. His research interests encompass industrial ergonomics, human-computer interaction, product design, and biomechanics. At WSIB, he leverages his extensive knowledge to inform policy, analyze complex claims, and develop strategies for creating safer and more efficient work environments, making him a key contributor in the field of occupational safety.
