Biography
- Prof. Wenxian Lin obtained PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sydney in 2000, specializing in computational fluid dynamics.
- After that, he went to Texas Tech University, USA where he worked as a Postdoc at the Department of Chemical Engineering in the first year and was promoted to Research Professor in the second year.
- He returned to the University of Sydney in Sept 2002 to work as an ARC Research Associate, and got his ARC Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2003 to work at the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering until Jan 2006.
- He moved to James Cook University in Feb 2006 to take up a Senior Lecturer position at the School of Engineering and has been a Professor since Jan 2016.
- He served as the Head of Discipline of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Science & Engineering (former School of Engineering & Physical Sciences) since 2010.
