Biography
Prasad S. Koka is affiliated with the Biomedical Research Institute of Southern California, United States, where his research focuses on the intersection of virology and haematopoiesis. His work has examined the mechanisms by which viral infections affect blood cell production and immune function. He is particularly recognized for his most-cited publication, "HIV‐1 inhibits haematopoiesis via microRNA secreted by virus‐infected CD4+ T cells" (2019), which elucidated a novel pathway through which HIV-1 disrupts haematopoietic processes. His contributions have advanced understanding of virus-host interactions at the molecular level.
