Biography
Dr. Cesar A. Perez is affiliated with the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, United States. His research focuses on targeted therapies and novel treatment strategies in oncology, with particular emphasis on head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and breast cancer. His work has investigated adaptive dose escalation of gefitinib based on skin toxicity in recurrent and metastatic head and neck cancer, mechanisms of resistance to crizotinib in EML4/ALK-positive lung cancer, and the clinical implications of mTOR inhibition in metastatic breast cancer. Dr. Perez has also contributed to the understanding of c-Met pathway targeting in lung cancer and the management of Hodgkin lymphoma during pregnancy.
