Qualifications
We seek reviewers with demonstrated expertise in genetic engineering, gene editing, CRISPR technologies, synthetic biology, or related biotechnology fields. Suitable candidates typically hold doctoral degrees and have active research programs with recent publications. Postdoctoral researchers with established publication records are welcome.

Registration Process
Submit your CV along with keywords describing your areas of expertise. Include your ORCID iD if available. Our editorial team will review qualifications and add you to relevant topic categories in our reviewer database. Active reviewers who consistently deliver quality, timely reviews receive priority invitations and may be nominated for editorial board positions.
Recognition: JGE provides annual certificates documenting review contributions suitable for tenure and promotion files. We acknowledge reviewers in annual reports published on the journal website.
Invitation Process
Registered reviewers receive invitations based on keyword matching with submitted manuscript topics. You are never obligated to accept invitations and should decline when timing conflicts, expertise mismatches, or conflicts of interest exist. Prompt responses to invitations help editors maintain efficient review timelines.

Profile Management
Reviewers may update their keyword profiles to reflect evolving research interests and expertise areas. Notify the editorial office if you wish to temporarily suspend invitations during sabbaticals or heavy workload periods. Accurate profiles enable better manuscript-reviewer matching and more efficient review processes.
