- Read the Editorial Policies and Article Processing Charges pages before sending.
Choose a submission route
Use one route for a manuscript and retain its confirmation details.
Main submission route
Submit and track your manuscript through the official Open Access Pub ManuscriptZone portal. ManuscriptZone provides manuscript tracking, editorial messages, and revision history.
Alternative simple submission
Authors may also upload their files through the JHC manuscript submission form. The editorial office will review the files and continue processing the manuscript through ManuscriptZone.
Email submission
Where email submission remains supported under publisher policy, manuscripts may also be sent to the published editorial-office email address.
What to prepare
The author instructions are the source of detailed manuscript requirements. Use this list as a pre-submission check, not as a substitute for them.
Manuscript and files
Prepare the article, figures, tables, supplementary material, and any file labels needed to identify the material clearly.
Author information
Prepare author names, affiliations, and contact details accurately before entering them in the selected route.
Declarations
Prepare the applicable ethics, consent, clinical-trial, funding, conflict, data-availability, and reporting information.
Review before sending and next steps
Review the information carefully before sending, then follow editorial correspondence through ManuscriptZone or the route used.
Review the information
Check files, author details, declarations, and the terms presented by the route before sending.
Keep a local copy
Retain the manuscript, files, and submission details for your own records.
Track and respond
Use ManuscriptZone for manuscript status, editorial messages, and revision history once processing has begun.
Ask for help
For a question about fit, policy, or preparation, contact the editorial office.
Submit only after the manuscript is ready for editorial assessment.
Use ManuscriptZone for the main submission and tracking route, the JHC form for an alternative upload route, or the publisher-supported email route where applicable. Submission does not imply acceptance.
