Biography
- Dr. Jennifer Cunningham Erves is a Research Instructor for Meharry Medical College of Nashville, Tennessee.
- Her academic background is in Biology and Health Education and Health Promotion, with her main research interest being to improve HPV vaccination rates among adolescents and to identify potential patient/community-engaged research methods to improve rates.
- Educated at Tuskegee University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr. Erves has been at Meharry College since 2013, first as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Community Engagement and now as a Research Instructor.
- Her recent awards include being selected as a V-Pocket (Vanderbilt Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Career Knowledge, Education and Training) Scholar of Vanderbilt University, and a LEADS (Leading Emerging and Diverse Scientists to Success) Fellow for the University of Pittsburgh.
- She has served as a reviewer for the journals Trials, Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved, and Health Education Research.
