Prospective editors should hold doctoral-level qualifications in relevant fields including infectious diseases, microbiology, virology, epidemiology, public health, dermatology, gynecology, urology, or related clinical and research disciplines. Demonstrated expertise in STI research evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, active research programs, or clinical practice focusing on sexually transmitted infection management is essential.

Candidates should have experience with peer review processes as manuscript reviewers and understand publication ethics standards. Strong communication skills, commitment to timely response, and availability to handle regular manuscript assignments are expected. We particularly welcome applications from researchers in underrepresented geographic regions to enhance global perspective on our editorial board.

Academic Credentials

Doctoral degree in relevant discipline with demonstrated research activity. Faculty appointments at recognized academic or research institutions preferred but not required for qualified clinical experts.

Publication Record

Established publication record in STI-related research demonstrating ability to produce and evaluate high-quality scientific manuscripts meeting rigorous peer review standards.

Review Experience

Prior peer review experience for scientific journals demonstrating understanding of evaluation criteria, constructive feedback delivery, and ethical review practices.

Time Commitment

Availability to handle assigned manuscripts promptly with typical expectation of four to six manuscript evaluations annually plus periodic special assignments as needed.
