Research Expertise
Active research engagement in toxicology or related fields with understanding of current methods and standards. Expertise should enable evaluation of manuscripts in your specialty areas.
Publication Record
Peer-reviewed publications demonstrating familiarity with scholarly communication conventions. Publication experience provides perspective on constructive reviewer feedback.
Doctoral Degree
PhD or equivalent terminal degree typically required. Exceptional candidates with masters degrees and substantial research experience may be considered in specialized areas.

Registered reviewers receive invitations when manuscripts matching their expertise are submitted. Reviewers may accept or decline individual invitations based on availability and specific manuscript fit. Registration does not obligate acceptance of all invitations.
Reviewers should complete evaluations within 21 days of acceptance. Reviews should assess scientific validity, methodological rigor, and contribution to toxicology knowledge. Constructive feedback helps authors improve work regardless of recommendation outcome.
